Vivid Symmetry

“Vivid Symmetry,” an interactive exploration of art and fashion styling, will take place Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 7 pm to 9 pm in conjunction with the exhibition "Playing with Color: Collected Works of Myrtle Bartolini."  Tickets available through Eventbrite at ($15 presale; $20 at the door).

Myrtle Bartolini (1918 - 2015) explored a wide range of artistic styles, with a particular insterest in color theory.  She studied at arts institutions throughout the Midwest. Many of her works are three-dimensional, laboriously painted in a multi-layered process on corrugated surfaces. The shapes and colors weave patterns throughout the exhibition, revealing a vibrant movement.  Myrtle was a bright and colorful woman who believed art helps us interpret and make sense of the world.

The audience is invited to interact with the performers as the movement unfolds. The evening will include refreshments and the full exhibition of artwork will be on view.
